SC 15-hour CCR Landfill Manager Continuing Professional Education/Training – SC15CCRCPE
South Carolina Solid Waste Regulation 61-107.14 requires that Class Three landfill managers and supervisors successfully complete a DHEC-approved training course and examination. Renewal of each certification is required every three years and can be achieved by obtaining the required number of approved continuing education hours (fifteen for managers and six for supervisors) during each 3-year period.
The 15-hour course is approved by South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and includes instruction in CCR landfill site characteristics, design and permitting, operations, safety, trends, site operations, administration, plus other timely topics. Attending one (1) day fulfills the continuing education requirements for landfill supervisors and attending two (2) days fulfills the continuing education requirements for landfill managers.
